Zhongjian Dongfang Holding Co., Ltd. ("Zhongjian") is one of the largest privately-owned iron ore mine operators in China. Zhongjian currently operates four iron ore mines located in Hebei, Shanxi and Xinjiang Provinces, as well as Inner Mongolia, with total proven reserves close to 200 million tons. Zhongjian’s newly developed Xinjiang mine produces ore with one of the highest ferrous concentrations in China. Zhongjian is using the capital provided by Cathay in 2011 for working capital to expand production and for business expansion through acquisition.
